Home

I blog primarily about multiple sclerosis — an autoimmune condition that affects the central nervous system. Diagnosed with this condition in 1998, I blog to inform and educate others about MS. But I am more than my diagnosis, so I also blog about other things that interest me. In addition to writing this blog, I speak to groups about MS.

Freelance writing is my day job. I write regularly for a magazine titled Discover: The Essence of St. Clair, and I work for a variety of other freelance clients. I have collaborated with historian Pat Hall on a pictorial history of Leeds, Alabama. “Leeds” is available locally or on-line. (http://www.arcadiapublishing.com/9780738591254/Leeds). Before working as a freelancer, I was a suit in corporate America.

I live in a small town in the Deep South and share my home with Jem, a bulky and somewhat elderly Maine coon cat.
